The precision.community website (“PC Website”) is made available to you and operated by Precision Communities LTD ("PC", "we", "our" or "us"), the controller and responsible owner of this website.

This Privacy Policy covers how we handle your personal information and forms part of the Terms of Use of the PC Website.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The date of the most recent revisions will appear on this page so please visit this Privacy Policy regularly.

The PC Website may, from time to time, also contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers, affiliates and third parties. PC’s Privacy Policy does not apply to how third parties define personal data or how they use it. We encourage you to read their privacy policies and know your privacy rights before interacting with them. 


The Data PC Collects About You

When you become a customer, register your interest with our products and services, create a user, download content by filling out a form, contact us (including by social media), participate in an online survey, or otherwise interact with PC, we may collect, store and transfer a variety of personal information about you, including:

  • Personal Identity Information: First name, last name, country of origin/residence or similar identifier, title and gender.

  • Contact Information: Data such as name, email address, physical address, phone number, or other contact information.

  • Financial Information: Data about your billing address and method of payment, such as bank details, credit, debit, or other payment card information.

  • Transaction Information: Data about purchases of PC’s products and services or transactions.

  • Technical Data: IP address, login and session data, browser and device type and version, time zone settings and location, operating system, platform, usage data and other technology on the devices you use to access the PC Website.

  • User Account Information: Your username and password, enquiries or orders made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.

  • Usage Data & Statistics: Information about how you use our website, products and services.

  • Marketing and Communication Preferences: Your preferences in receiving marketing from us and third parties, and your communication preferences.

  • Other Information You Provide to Us: Details such as the content of your communications with PC, including interactions with customer support and contacts through social media channels.

You are not required to provide the personal data that we have requested. However, if you choose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to requests you may have.

PC otherwise does not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you. The PC Website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect or process data relating to children.  Where we have inadvertently collected information from a child, we will delete it as soon as possible. If you know that a child has given their information to us, please contact us.


Personal Data PC Receives From Other Sources

PC may receive personal data about you from other individuals, from businesses or third parties acting at your direction, from our partners who work with us to provide our products and services and assist us in security and fraud prevention, and from other lawful sources.

Direct interactions & submissions: You may give us your identity, contact and /or financial data by filling in forms, providing us with your business card or by corresponding with us via physical or digital channels including but not limited to phone, email and post. Such interactions may occur when you:

  • Apply or enquire for our services or products;

  • Register to attend our events;

  • Purchase a ticket to attend our events;

  • Purchase sponsorship or media services from our events;

  • Create an account on the PC Website or any platform website PC operates;

  • Subscribe to a service provided by PC;

  • Sign up for newsletters and/or request marketing information to be sent to you;

  • Participate in a survey or enter a competition;

  • Contact us to provide feedback.

Automated technologies: As you interact with our website, newsletters, emails and digital content published as part of digital and mobile campaigns, we may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and usage patterns. Third parties, partners or publicly available sources: We may receive personal data about you from publicly available sources or from third parties. Once in receipt of such data we will handle it in accordance with the terms of this privacy policy. Examples of third-party sources:

  • Providers of technical, event registration, event & ticketing technologies, payment and delivery services who provide us with Contact, Financial and Transaction Information relevant to services supplied to you.

(b) Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract PC has with you, or because you have asked PC to take specific steps before entering into a contract.

(c) Legal obligation: the processing is necessary for PC to comply with the law (not including contractual obligations).

(d) Vital interests: the processing is necessary to protect someone’s life.

(e) Public task: the processing is necessary for PC to perform a task in the public interest or for official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.

(f) Legitimate interests:the processing is necessary for PC’s legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party, unless there is a good reason to protect the your data which overrides those legitimate interests.

  6. The right to data portability: Data portability allows individuals to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services. This would allow you to move, copy or transfer personal data easily from one IT environment to another in a safe and secure way, without affecting its usability.

  7. The right to object: You can object to the processing of your information when we process it for direct marketing purposes on the basis of our legitimate interest.

  8. Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling: Not applicable.

PC will ask you to provide identification to ensure that we are disclosing information to the correct person.

There may be situations where we cannot grant your request — for example, if you ask us to delete your transaction data and PC is legally obligated to keep a record of that transaction to comply with law.

Other reasons your privacy request may be denied are if it jeopardizes the privacy of others, is frivolous or vexatious, or would be extremely impractical.

You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection matters (www.ico.org.uk).
